The problem
Bookings, gate-ins, customs queries and detention warnings all lived in chat groups with transporters, CHAs and shipping lines. A cutoff was missed when the one person who had seen the message was on leave, and detention charges were only discovered when the invoice arrived.
The solution
One shipment record per container, fed by the shipping lines' and ports' own data, with a control tower that surfaces what needs a person: customs holds, cutoffs at risk, boxes accruing detention. Every party sees the same state, and every change is attributed.
